october 2008? i think....little edward is my favorite from this particular elementary mg class. whenever i collect things from the class (test papers, etc), i say, "Thank you, X." edward likes to respond with, "youre welcome teacher," as LOUD as he possibly can.
one day, i found some trash he left after class, and i was so mad, b/c i told him to make sure to pick up after himself that day, i observed him making quite the mess. i specifically, sternly said, "Edward, all that had better be cleaned up before class ends today." after i found the trash, i was ready to nail him at the next class, but before class started, he comes up to me with a box of candy saying, "Teacher, my mother says to give to you." goddamit. so of course i didnt punish him. btw this photo is from google, i dont have a camera rt now, so i dont ahve a picture. it was a box of some red bean paste chocolates or something. i opened it and left it in the teacher's lounge, bc it sounded nasty, AND i am eating wayyy too much, being super thick-a-licious right now.

i love reading about the kids and their mannerisms and such... i taught at a summer camp last year and i fell in love with the students. your posts help me reminesce about those good ol' times.
